TREY CALLOWAY PREMIERES “WANTED MAN” ACOUSTIC VIDEO

Award winning songwriter and musician Trey Calloway is premiering his new acoustic video today. It is the title track from his album “Wanted Man.”

Calloway says, “‘Wanted Man’ is not just a heartfelt love song; it’s a song about transformation and growth. Through the story of a man who’s content in his solitary existence until he’s unexpectedly drawn into a relationship, the song explores the idea that vulnerability and openness can lead to profound personal development. I hope ‘Wanted Man’ inspires even the most self-reliant listeners to be open to love.

North Carolina-grown and Nashville-based, Trey Calloway grew up singing in church and was a seasoned performer by the age of 10. Although southern and contemporary gospel were his first musical loves, Trey was instantly mesmerized by the sounds of country music after a hearing Garth Brooks Greatest Hits album and quickly developed a deep understanding and passion for the rocking, boot-stomping music of Garth Brooks, Clint Black, Alan Jackson, and Travis Tritt.

Calloway has opened shows for Joe Diffie, Tracy Lawrence, McBride & the Ride, Pat Green, Edwin McCain, Craig Campbell and Trent Tomlinson, and has played for audiences at the Charlotte Speed Street NASCAR Festival, the House of Blues and The Tennessee State Fair Opry Stage.

Since mid-2023, Calloway has won Songwriter of the Year at the Texas Country Music Association Awards, had a music video featured on CMT, been picked up by Spotify editorial playlists, and streamed nearly a million times on Spotify alone.

With nine tracks, his new album Wanted Man draws on the traditional sounds of the ’90s while showcasing a modern edge, proving that Calloway has the talent to carve his own path in country music. The final track, “That Was Us,” has helped the album gain significant momentum, which is now approaching nearly one million streams on Spotify. The single also landed on Spotify’s All New Country editorial playlist, making it his second editorial placement from the album.

Calloway has consistently been paving the way for his album release with singles. He was recently nominated for the 2024 Texas Country Music Association Christian Songwriter of the Year for “Backroad Believer,” which was produced by Grady Saxman and features backing vocals by Tae Lewis, a close friend and former contestant on The Voice. The song made its debut on RFD-TV and was featured by CCM Magazine and The Hollywood Times.
