Sweet sounds for the open road 

FOR: A vintage semi-hollow tone. The Collings I-35 LC is a small-bodied semi-hollow electric filled with tones that sing a song of exceptional craftsmanship. From the moment we opened the case, the faded cherry laminate top, sides and back caught our attention and promised to take us on a unique musical journey. The Lollar Imperial pickups flawlessly translated what was happening acoustically with a tighter focus than larger hollow bodies, making the I-35 LC more contemporary in tonality. Clean tones were sparkly, with hints of pedal steel overtones on double bends, while the dirty tones were full-bodied without being floppy or too bright on the top end.
