This is the first installment of D<i>ogs of Bushwick,<\/i> a four-album set, and on the series\u2019 title track, singer Perry Serpa describes his need to write songs. \u201cThere\u2019s a radio station alive in my head,\u201d he sings. \u201cThere\u2019s a radio station that\u2019s driving me mad.\u201d At least the DJs have good taste. \u201cBlame the Bankers\u201d is a soulful protest song. \u201cHere Comes the Maestro\u201d is synth-tinged and danceable. The brassy \u201cFlowers for My Girl\u201d ought to be sung while picking daisies or pedaling a bicycle built for two.
