On his first album in seven years, this 21st century Southern folkie threads together songs of love and Armageddon, promising, \u201cI\u2019ll rip your heart out like you want me to\u201d on one track, then observing, \u201cThe devil is laughing at the darkness falling\u201d the next. The aforementioned background sounds give this disc its color, but they\u2019d mean little were it not for Bohlke\u2019s songwriting.
