After an opening screech, the trebly guitars on \u201cTap Out\u201d smooth into something vaguely reminiscent of disco, while instantly appealing lead single\u00a0\u201cAll the Time\u201d finds frontman Julian Casablancas drawing out his syllables behind muffled distortion, chanting about living too fast. Casablancas nails a power-packed falsetto on \u201cOne Way Trigger,\u201d a deceptively bouncy song about contemplating reasons to leave and wishing to be noticed. On the lightening-fast \u201c50\/50\u201d\u2014a standout for post-punk\u00a0fans\u2014quick, raw guitars and wailing vocals recall the best of the band\u2019s 2001 debut, <i>Is This It<\/i>.
