This NYC native supplied the chunky, eternally air-guitar-inspiring power chords on Joan Jett\u2019s \u201cI Love Rock \u2019n\u2019 Roll,\u201d and while that song is hardly his sole accomplishment\u2014he\u2019s toured with Mott the Hoople\u2019s Ian Hunter and Roger Daltrey, among others\u2014it\u2019s a good summation of his life. So is Lifer, his solo debut, a love letter to Hoople, the Stones, the Faces and the American blues and soul artists who inspired those U.K. peacocks.
