Here, the album title alone is enough to catch one\u2019s attention, but it\u2019s Glier\u2019s precise phrasing and subtle touches that make for an engaging start-to-finish listen. Whether he\u2019s singing solitary ballads like \u201cEverything Beautiful\u201d and \u201cI Am Only as Loved as I Am Open\u201d or tackling the more vigorous refrains that spark \u201cMan I Used to Be\u201d and \u201cDown to the Wire,\u201d Glier draws emotional power from the slightest of suggestions. That\u2019s not to say this Massachusetts native is some brooding shoegazer. On the swampy-sounding \u201cThe Stars and Glitter\u201d and brassy \u201cNew World I See,\u201d Glier livens up the proceedings with some welcome infusions of energy.
