Working with Jack Douglas, who produced <em>Get Your Wings<\/em>, <em>Toys in the Attic<\/em> and other records from their prime, the band delivers a slick album, trying hard to meet high expectations. On the Diane Warren-penned \u201cWe All Fall Down,\u201d they attempt to recapture the success of the late-\u201990s smash \u201cI Don\u2019t Want to Miss a Thing\u201d but wind up falling short. They fare better on \u201cWhat Could Have Been Love\u201d\u2014reminiscent of another \u201990s hit, \u201cCrazy\u201d\u2014and \u201cCan\u2019t Stop Loving You,\u201d a duet with country star Carrie Underwood. While there are a fair number of ballads, Aerosmith can still rock. \u201cLegendary Child\u201d is a foot-stomper anchored by Tyler\u2019s rapid-fire vocals, while \u201cStreet Jesus\u201d descends into a wild free-for-all.
