At 13, Fisher was the sole survivor of a plane crash that killed her father and stepmother, and if that\u2019s not fodder enough for an album\u2014or a lifetime\u2014of soul-searching material, Fisher has also suffered the usual heartaches that come with growing up. She pours it all into these bracing, emotionally forthright tunes, shifting between poised piano pop and guitar-driven coffeehouse alt-rock.
