So <em>Kick in the Head<\/em>, her third album, is the sound of an exceptional songwriter coming to terms with the unexceptional nature of her own \u201clittle tragedies.\u201d On \u201cBe Me\u201d and the predictably bouncy \u201cHappy,\u201d she resolves to make the best of circumstances.
