Rife with energetic melodies, elegant arrangements and an old-school showman\u2019s flair, the songs have the air of familiarity often associated with standards. High points include \u201cA Fool in Love,\u201d which sports a piano figure similar to Carole King\u2019s \u201cI Feel the Earth Move\u201d (harking back to Sedaka\u2019s Brill Building days) and \u201cRight or Wrong,\u201d a doo-wop song that manages to sound contemporary rather than kitschy.
