The long delay might explain \u201c4 Years,\u201d in which frontman Ryan Weisberger seems intent on putting the past behind him. \u201cLet\u2019s let loose and forget,\u201d he sings, but the band\u2014now based in Brooklyn\u2014sounds neither loose nor forgetful. All pointy guitars and walls of synth, \u201c4 Years\u201d recalls the soaring, earnest New Wave of the Killers\u2019 2006 <em>Sam\u2019s Town<\/em>, a record that clearly left its mark on this band.
