She goes on to salute Black Flag and dismiss today\u2019s music as \u201ccommodity.\u201d It\u2019s brash, bratty stuff, but <em>Social Life<\/em> marks Hart\u2019s transition from folkie rocker to punky electro-pop diva, so she\u2019s entitled to some sneering. Fortunately she transcends mere retro shtick, crafting buzzy dance tunes about love, sex and vulnerability.
