So author Jason Draper wisely sticks with a very nuts-and-bolts approach in <em>Chaos, Disorder, and Revolution<\/em>, an exhaustively researched volume that lays out Prince\u2019s career, as well as what little can be gleaned about his private life, in a breezily readable way. This is no hagiography\u2014Draper in particular focuses on the many times over the years that Prince has alienated his fans in an apparently deliberate manner.
