If his trademark boy-next-door charm fades a bit on tepid tunes like \u201cWorking on a Tan\u201d and \u201cCamouflage,\u201d he makes up for it on the ballad \u201cA Man Don\u2019t Have to Die\u201d and the rip-roaring Western instrumental \u201cEastwood,\u201d which showcases his formidable guitar chops. The record\u2019s ham-fisted title track joins the recent glut of country songs about country songs, delivering a rote list of references to classics by George Jones, Tammy Wynette and others. A far better expression of the same sentiment is found in the album closer \u201cLife\u2019s Railway to Heaven,\u201d on which Paisley is joined by Marty Stuart, Sheryl Crow and Carl Jackson.
