I\u2019ve got my cameras, I ought to be down there doing what I do.\u2019\u201d Diltz told his daughter not to move and headed toward the stage. \u201cHer mom had made me promise I wouldn\u2019t leave her for a minute, so that was kind of a heavy thing,\u201d he says. \u201cI rushed back afterward. It was worth it.\u201d Diltz didn\u2019t expect this shot of frontman Kurt Cobain, taken in low light at a slow speed, to come out at all. \u201cWhen I got the film back I was really surprised to see that one photo,\u201d he says. \u201cIt should have been blurry.
