Here he reinvents himself by opting to play a supporting role in a trio more concerned with conjuring Jayhawks-esque folky pop. The songs are mostly of the singalong variety, with harmonies consistently in full bloom\u2014and although they can sound a wee bit precious at times, their charms are undeniable. The group also excels as songwriters, with \u201cKnow Your Love,\u201d \u201cHudson River,\u201d \u201cVirginia\u201d and \u201cLet Me Down Easy\u201d coming across as both agile and ageless, even on first hearing.
