Purists will scoff\u2014yet somehow it works, albeit in quirky fashion. Who would guess the Jackson 5\u2019s classic \u201cABC\u201d could segue so effortlessly into \u201cDo Re Mi\u201d? Or that \u201cEdelweiss\u201d might be reinvented as a mandolin-plucking country ramble? For that matter, imagine \u201cThe Sound of Music,\u201d \u201cMy Favorite Things\u201d and \u201cClimb Ev\u2019ry Mountain\u201d inspired at once by Queen, Aerosmith, Boston, Yes and Van Halen.
