On opening track \u201cThe Compartmentalized Thing,\u201d she touts the fact that she knows what she wants and isn\u2019t shy about demanding it. \u201cKeanuville\u201d and \u201cNext Best Thing\u201d find her idolizing members of the opposite sex, and her take on the bedroom anthem to beat them all, Marvin Gaye\u2019s \u201cLet\u2019s Get It On,\u201d is stunning. Ultimately, the lovely piano ballad \u201cA Perfect Storm\u201d and her graceful remake of Paul Simon\u2019s \u201cRene and Georgette Magritte With Their Dog After the War\u201d spotlight the singer at her best, exuding sheer emotion.
