<\/h1>\nLegendary songwriter and film composer Randy Newman, whose musical compositions have earned Oscars, Grammys and Emmys, has signed with SESAC, the nation\u2019s most progressive PRO and the only Music Rights Organization in the country, for representation.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere is no question that Randy Newman\u2019s contribution to music is unparalleled, with songs that are timeless and music scores that are memorable. His career has spanned almost 50 years, a tribute to his brilliance as a composer and musician,\u201d said John Josephson, Chairman\/CEO of SESAC. \u201cWe are proud to welcome Randy to the SESAC family of affiliates.\u201d<\/p>\n

With songs that run the gamut from heartbreaking to satirical and a host of unforgettable film scores, Randy Newman has created musical masterpieces widely recognized by generations of audiences. In addition to his acclaimed solo recordings\u2014such as\u00a0Randy Newman<\/em>,\u00a012 Songs<\/em>,\u00a0Sail Away<\/em>,\u00a0Good Old Boys<\/em>, and\u00a0Harps and Angels<\/em>\u2014and regular international touring, Newman composes and scores for films, including\u00a0The Natural,<\/em>\u00a0Awakenings,<\/em>\u00a0Ragtime<\/em>, all three\u00a0Toy Story<\/em>\u00a0pictures,\u00a0Seabiscuit<\/em>,\u00a0James and the Giant Peach<\/em>,\u00a0A Bug\u2019s Life<\/em>, and most recently, Disney\/Pixar\u2019s\u00a0Monsters University<\/em>, the prequel to\u00a0Monsters Inc.<\/em>\u00a0(which he also scored). Newman\u2019s many honors include six Grammys, three Emmys, two Academy Awards, and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
