Accompanied by an ace band that includes son Dustin on banjo and guitar, and frequent collaborator and fellow Dead Reckoner Fats Kaplin on pedal steel, he delivers touching songs of remorse and redemption with stoic conviction and indomitable resolve. \u201cThe Great Emancipation,\u201d \u201cThat\u2019s How It Feels,\u201d \u201cLong Gone Dream\u201d and \u201cMarysville\u201d are each imbued with a palpable ache and sigh, but they\u2019re embossed in melodies both beautiful and bittersweet.
