Synths, strings, supple acoustic guitars and flailing metallic riffing provide a shifting setting, as Brittelle braces the arrangements with rich, vibrant textures and continual kinetic fluidity. As the title implies, the sound often seems larger than life and spectacular in scope. A synthesis of modern classical invention and avant-garde experimentation, <em>Television Landscape<\/em> taps Zappa, mid-period King Crimson and composer Gustav Holst as obvious influences.
