Seeff turned to a mutual friend, who had played violin on one of Morrison\u2019s previous records, for help. She assembled a makeshift band in a studio near Morrison\u2019s home. \u201c\u2018This is going to be fun,\u2019 I told him,\u201d says Seeff. \u201cI explained he didn\u2019t have to do anything special\u2014just play music.\u201d Morrison wound up performing for three hours, leading the band through much of his monumental catalog. \u201cIt was an amazing jam session,\u201d recalls Seeff, who brought along a small film crew. \u201cHe was in the zone.
