Actually, Dawn of Midi formed at the California Institute of the Arts and released their debut in 2010, but it\u2019s with this second effort that the now-East Coast-based trio claim to have struck the right balance between improv and composition. The album is basically one long track\u2014a moody 46-minute mix of minimalist club fare, driving kraut-rock and hypnotic free jazz.
