And Sigsworth\u2019s presence is significant; these wonderfully arranged and produced songs find the pair flitting with ease from edgy to laissez-faire. Breezy opener \u201cHorizon Flame\u201d leads to \u201cChangeling,\u201d a jittery urbane statement on the modern condition. The bitter, rousing torch song \u201cWhen I Was Your Girl\u201d details a failed romance, while love blooms anew in \u201cApple Kisses.\u201d \u201cRight as Rain\u201d is classic four-on-the-floor dance, and \u201cFiligree\u201d nods to Clarke with bubbly, pulsing keyboard. This is Moyet\u2019s first album in a half-decade, and you can almost hear the urgency, like she knows precious minutes are ticking away.
