Versatile bass designed by one of the greats

The way the maple-topped ash and alder body of the Yamaha John Patitucci signature TRBJP2 model six-string bass springs to life with the lightest touch speaks volumes about the quality of this instrument. From body construction to pickup design and its voiced electronics—it reflects the demanding standards of its master bassist creator. While the brass tailpiece is totally adjustable, the default setup leaves nothing to be desired. Similarly, even with the active EQ set flat, the TRBJP2’s pair of custom Alnico V humbucking pickups sound phenomenal from the lowest thrum to the highest note of the 26-fret fingerboard. And with three bands of frequency-shaping at hand, it’s easy to craft the ideal bass tone for any occasion.
