Quick, quality and versatile mixing

Yamaha released a pair of powerful small-format mixers/USB audio-interfaces for 2015, the three-channel AG03 and the six-channel AG06. We recently got our hands on the AG06 and were impressed by the feature set Yamaha managed to pack into such a portable unit. Class-compliant USB connectivity makes the AG06 well suited for traditional music recording, but there are also onboard options for recording gaming headsets and other less conventional applications. Onboard DSP provides inline compression, EQ, amp emulation and other effects—and all are easy to tweak via the AG DSP Controller software. What’s more, a loopback function allows the user to record voiceover, vocals or other audio on top of background tracks playing from a computer.
