FOR: Modular solutions to age-old studio cabling issues. From the quality of the build to the number of challenges it solves, we were thoroughly impressed with the Planet Waves Modular Snake. The eight-channel Core cable is available in multiple lengths, with each end terminating in a male DB25 connector. Attach the female DB25 connector of the desired “Breakout” to the Core and you can reconfigure your studio in a snap. Breakouts are available in eight female, eight male or four of each AES/EBU terminations. Balanced TRS and Bantam/TT connectors are also available. The modular termination sans snake box makes for a clean and affordable installation.
