The Focusrite OctoPre MkII Dynamic leverages the ADAT light pipe protocol to deliver eight simultaneous tracks of lush audio. Each channel features independent level and compression controls as well as a “More” switch doubling the compression ratio from 2:1 to 4:1. Phantom power is available on all eight channels, while channels one and two conveniently double as DI inputs. The compression is rich without being overly breathy and will save you hours in post.
